Venelaget for Gruo works to take care of the old mining area of Litlabø. Venelaget for Gruo was founded in 1993 with the purpose to preserve the old mining area of Litlabø. Since 2005, it worked with the project "A living mining museum". In practice this will mean that work is ongoing on the project by people volunteer every Monday.
